Brothers Dr Robert Eng and Dr Adrian Eng grew up around the dental profession and have both followed in their dentist father’s footsteps.

Dr Robert Eng
Carrying on a Family Tradition
Dentistry is my passion. It mixes manual dexterity and regular studies.
Dr Robert knew when he was young that he would become a dentist! He studied at the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, receiving a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2000. Since then, Dr Robert has achieved a postgraduate certification in Cosmetic Dentistry and practiced dentistry in three continents. He continues to further his education by taking courses in a variety of dental subjects, such as Invisalign®.
Everyone is unique and has different requirements. I don’t make the same recommendations to each patient.
For Dr Robert, the best part about being a dentist is helping his patients. He believes it’s vital to ask each individual what’s important to them, and then address their specific concerns. His personalised approach is especially effective in helping patients experiencing dental anxiety.
After graduating, Dr Robert went on to work in a busy tertiary Dental Hospital in Liverpool, gaining a lot of experience in acute dental emergencies and learning skills that transfer well into a community dental environment, particularly in putting nervous patients and children at ease. His friendly nature and good sense of humour make each patient feel comfortable and safe, as well as providing them with an amazing smile!
Helping patients experiencing dental emergencies is another aspect of practice Dr Robert enjoys. He assists them in getting immediate relief so that they leave the practice free from discomfort.
Outside the Practice
Dr Robert is a member of the Australian Dental Association and a former lecturer at the University of Liverpool, where he helped final-year students transition from university life to general practice.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr Robert plays basketball, travels and spends time with his young daughter and wife. He is a proud supporter of the Liverpool Football Club in the UK.
Dr Adrian Eng
A Second-generation Dentist
Adrian grew up spending time after school each day with his father in his dental practice. He followed in his father’s footsteps and attended the University of Western Australia.
After receiving a Bachelor of Dental Science in 2002, Adrian practiced in Bunbury, Byford and Rockingham.
Adrian is currently studying for his Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Orthodontics. This course focuses on practical skills and experience to skillfully treat crowded and misaligned teeth using invisible aligners. He is also an experienced provider for Invisalign and dental implants.
Serving Byford’s Families
Adrian is a certified provider for Myobrace treatment for children. Myobrace aims to correct bad oral habits such as mouth breathing and swallowing incorrectly. This in turn allows the face, mouth and teeth to develop more ideally. This results in the reduction in need for future orthodontic work. Adrian tried Myobrace treatment with his own children with promising results. Now Adrian wants to bring this valuable service to benefit the children of his own practice.

Outside the Practice
When he isn’t at work, Dr Adrian likes being outdoors doing high-adrenaline sports such as rally driving, water jet boarding and go-karting. His new passion now Kite surfing. Next, he hopes to skydive and drive a V8 supercar. Adrian also enjoys spending time with his two boys and young daughter, who is currently trying to help him learn how to tie the perfect ponytail!
