New Patients at Marri Gum Family Dental

Marri Gum Family Dental offers a family-friendly environment that puts all ages of patients at ease. Our practice manager warmly welcomes you when you arrive. Children can relax and play with the toys we provide, or color us a picture that we’ll hang up in the office. They can even get a balloon for their visit to help them look forward to their checkups.

Getting Started

We’ll need to collect your medical details before you meet with your dentist for a chat. You can schedule for any type of appointment you’d like, but generally the first appointment is when we’ll sit down to discuss what you want and how we can help you get the best outcomes.

A typical first visit involves taking radiographs and photos and lasts about 40 minutes. If you’ve booked in for a cleaning, our hygienist will get that done and then Dr Robert or Dr Adrian will examine your teeth and mouth.

If future appointments are necessary, we’ll schedule you for that and let you know an estimate of costs involved. You may have visited us for a routine checkup, in which case we’ll have you return for another check in six months.

Feeling at Ease and Comfortable

We understand that some people may feel anxiety when going to the dentist. Our team likes to get to know you and start slowly with your visits, spending time to get to know you without starting on any procedures. You’re welcome to bring someone in with you for moral support that can accompany you to the treatment room. Additionally, we offer happy gas and sedation options.
If your child is nervous, Dr Robert and Dr Adrian are wonderful at working with children and helping them to feel relaxed. Our young patients especially enjoy watching the television mounted in the ceiling during their visits.
